Dress Code Policy

Dress Code Policy for

9 Miles Swimming Academy:

  1. Swimwear: Participants are required to wear appropriate swimwear during all swimming lessons, programs, and activities. This typically includes one-piece swimsuits for females and swim trunks or swim briefs for males. Rash guards or swim shirts are also permitted.

  2. Swim Caps: Participants with long hair are encouraged to wear swim caps to minimize hair interference and enhance water safety. Swim caps help maintain a clean and hygienic swimming environment.

  3. Goggles: Participants are strongly encouraged to wear goggles during swimming lessons to protect their eyes and enhance visibility in the water. Goggles should fit securely and comfortably without obstructing the swimmer’s vision.

  4. Footwear: Participants should wear appropriate footwear, such as flip-flops or pool shoes, when outside of the pool area to protect their feet and maintain cleanliness.

  5. Accessories: Participants should refrain from wearing excessive jewelry, accessories, or clothing items that may cause discomfort or pose a safety risk in the water. All accessories should be removed before entering the pool.

  6. Modesty and Cultural Sensitivity: Participants and parents/guardians should be mindful of cultural and personal preferences regarding modesty. Swimsuits should adhere to cultural and personal comfort levels while ensuring they are suitable for swimming activities.

  7. Hygiene: Participants should practice good personal hygiene by showering before entering the pool. All participants must wear clean swimwear and ensure that it is free from excessive dirt or debris that may affect water quality.

  8. Equipment: Participants should bring appropriate swimming equipment, such as goggles, swim caps, and towels, as required for their specific lessons or programs.

  9. Compliance: Participants, parents, and guardians are expected to comply with the dress code policy and ensure that the swimwear and attire worn meet the specified requirements. Instructors and staff may enforce the policy to maintain a consistent and appropriate swimming environment.

It is important to note that the dress code policy may vary depending on the specific
swimming program, age group, or type of activity. Participants and parents/guardians should review and adhere to any additional guidelines provided for their particular program or event.

The dress code policy promotes safety, hygiene, and appropriate swimwear choices to create a comfortable and professional environment for all participants at 9 Miles
