Code of Conduct for
9 Miles Swimming Academy:
- Respect and Sportsmanship: Treat all participants, instructors, staff, and fellow swimmers with respect, kindness, and fairness. Display good sportsmanship at all times, both in and out of the pool.
- Safety: Prioritize safety at all times. Follow the instructions of instructors and lifeguards, and adhere to the established safety rules and guidelines. Report any unsafe conditions or behaviors to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Integrity and Honesty: Conduct yourself with integrity and honesty. Refrain from cheating, lying, or engaging in any form of dishonesty or unethical behavior.
- Inclusive Environment: Embrace diversity and create an inclusive environment where all individuals feel welcomed and valued, regardless of their background, abilities, or differences.
- Personal Hygiene: Maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness to promote a healthy and comfortable environment for all participants. Shower before entering the pool and follow appropriate hygiene practices.
- Equipment and Facility Care: Treat the swimming facility, equipment, and property with care and respect. Report any damage or issues to the staff or instructors promptly.
- Compliance with Policies and Instructions: Follow all policies, rules, and instructions provided by 9 Miles Swimming Academy. This includes adherence to the academy’s dress code, attendance policies, and any other guidelines specific to programs or events.
- Confidentiality and Privacy: Respect the confidentiality and privacy of others. Do not disclose personal information or share confidential details without proper authorization.
- Social Media and Online Behavior: Use social media and online platforms responsibly and respectfully. Refrain from engaging in negative or harmful online behavior that could bring discredit to 9 Miles Swimming Academy or harm the reputation of others.
- Parental Involvement and Support: Parents or guardians are encouraged to support their child's participation and progress. Communicate openly and respectfully with instructors and staff, and actively participate in academy events and activities as appropriate.
Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, which may include warnings, suspension, or termination of participation in programs or events, depending on the severity and frequency of the offense.
Participants, parents, and staff are expected to familiarize themselves with and abide by this Code of Conduct. By doing so, we create a positive and respectful environment that fosters personal growth, learning, and enjoyment for all involved in 9 Miles Swimming Academy.
